Featured Media

Using the Featured Media feature is a great way to make sure important content gets seen by the right people in your school or district. 

When content is featured, a notification badge appears on the Featured Media item in the user menu when you click on your name. 

  • Clicking the Featured Media reveals a sidebar with thumbnail previews of featured items.
  • Each thumbnail is a direct link to that media item in the account of the person who featured it.

Adding Featured Media 

  1. Open the media by clicking its thumbnail in your gallery.
  2. Open the More Menu and click Add to Featured Media button.
  3. In the popup window, choose your audience: 
    • All Users 
    • Teachers and Above 
    • School Admins and Above 
    • District Admins and Above 
    • If you’re a District Admin, you’ll also see a list of your schools that you can choose from. 
  4. Click Feature Media Item to finalize.

The item will now appear in the Featured Media sidebar for the selected audience. 

Removing Featured Media 

When it’s time to take something down: 

  1. Click Administrator Tools in the user menu.
  2. Select Featured Media under the Content Administration section.
  3. You’ll see a list of all currently featured items.
  4. Click the minus icon next to the item you want to remove.
Warning

If you manage multiple schools, choose the correct one from the dropdown.

This page also shows who featured each item and when – useful for tracking visibility or cleaning up outdated content.
