Why We Reimagined the Platform

At MyVideoSpot, we’ve always believed video should help people, not hold them back. That belief has guided us for over 15 years as we’ve built tools to support teaching, training, communicating, and connecting through intentional video use.

This summer, we’re proud to launch a completely reimagined interface (launching in July) designed to reflect that vision more clearly than ever before.

Our platform has grown a lot over the years. With tools for content management, video creation, live streaming, interactive learning, and even digital signage, MyVideoSpot has evolved into a powerful, all-in-one solution. But we know power doesn’t matter if it feels hard to use.

So, we went back to the beginning. We listened to your feedback. We studied how people use the platform every day. And we rebuilt the interface to make things feel simpler, faster, and more intuitive, without losing any of the functionality you rely on.

Turn Passive Watching into Active Learning

One of the most exciting ways the new platform supports engagement is through Insights, a powerful tool that transforms any piece of content into an interactive experience. Whether you’re sharing a PD video, a student project, or curriculum resources, Insights are built by adding blocks directly into the content. These blocks can be multiple choice, open-ended, true/false, or even media-based prompts, giving viewers a chance to reflect, respond, or demonstrate understanding.

Educators and admins can track responses in real time, making it easy to assess progress, encourage discussion, or collect submissions. Insights works with videos, PDFs, Google Slides, and more — so you’re never locked into one format.

It’s a simple, powerful way to turn static content into a two-way conversation.
