End of the School Year and Summer Development

As the 2018/19 school year comes to an end, the MyVRSpot team wishes you a wonderful summer! While you’re hopefully taking a well-deserved vacation, we’ll be hard at work finishing end of year tasks and preparing for summer development and new feature releases.

Live Stream Graduation

Do any of your 2019 graduating students have parents or family that serve in the military, live far away, or physically cannot attend their graduation ceremony? Include everyone near and far in your graduates' special event this year and Live Broadcast your graduation.

If you are already a Live Broadcasting customer, just email Support 72 hours in advance if you anticipate an extra large viewing audience, and we’ll make some adjustments for you on our end to accommodate a larger audience.

If your district does not currently subscribe to our Live Broadcasting solution, request a one-time, no-cost live streaming channel for that upcoming graduation. Not only will we provide you the tools you need to broadcast the event, we will also capture the event, convert it to a video file, and place that video in your MyVRSpot account.

Year-End Maintenance For MyVRSpot Accounts

The school year is coming to an end and your graduating students and some of your staff will be moving on. Some of these people may still want/need to access their content saved in their MyVRSpot accounts, so now is a good time to mention to them that if they want to keep any of their uploaded media, they should log into their account and save those items either to their personal computer, a flash drive, or even to their personal Google Drive account.

Utilize Groups to Share Content Ownership

Teachers and staff can be transient, but their valuable content doesn’t have to leave with them. A great tool to minimize loss of content is using MyVRSpot’s Groups feature. Groups allow multiple users to share content ownership, so if someone leaves tomorrow, you can still have that document, curriculum plan, or video in place for others to continue using.

Teaser! Summer Development

Drum roll, please! The MyVRSpot team appreciates feedback and feature requests from users like you. Look forward to kicking-off the 2019/20 school year with these solution enhancements:

Open Call for Your Testimonial

This summer we will be updating our website! Part of the update is adding client testimonials, both video and written testimonials, where we can feature how some districts are using the various MyVRSpot services. If you are willing to send us your feedback in an email or a video that we could add to our site, we would be thrilled.

Please send an email to Alecia at alecia@myvrspot.com.

Semester Projects for The Three Musketeers

PSAT Students in Mrs. Arlisa Wylie's class at DeSoto Central High School in Mississippi finished their classroom reading of The Three Musketeers. For their final semester projects, teams of students were instructed to create chapter summary projects, and here are two outstanding results: two students recorded a skit and added a video quiz using MyVRSpot’s digital story creation solution. Don’t miss their bloopers at the end! Another team created this MediaSpot project with text and a video quiz. A+ to these students!

Have a Wonderful Summer!

The MyVRSpot Team wishes you a wonderful summer. Our next newsletter will be published in August. As always, please reach out to us with any questions or if you need any training support over the summer months. You can reach us at Support@myvrspot.com.
